Happy Hummingbirds

Do you know what type of bird
can eat one thousand Fuchsia blossoms a day?! If you learn about the amazing
hummingbirds, then you will totally love them! They live in temperate forest
habitats, have helpful adaptations, and are omnivores!
To start off with, hummingbirds live in temperate forest habitats with
thousands of juicy flowers and bugs. You can find them in North and South
America. They need trees to build nests with for shelter. They can also live in
places without many trees, but they need many flowers and bugs.
Also, they have wondrous
adaptations, or things that are useful and help them survive. They have super
fast speed, which helps them by getting away from hungry predators. Hummingbirds
also have long beaks and tongues that let them reach into juicy flowers to get
nectar.
Lastly, they eat meat and plants
for food and water. They eat bugs, for they are meat. Flower nectar is like
water for the thirsty hummingbirds. They can eat any flowers a day. Like I
said, hummingbirds can eat one thousand Fuchsia blossoms a day! They
are prey, animals eat them, and they are predators, they eat bugs.
Truly, all of the wondrous
animals in the world are my favorite, but I love the sweet and pretty
hummingbirds. They do live in temperate forests with many juicy flowers, have
amazing adaptations, and eat delicious flowers and bugs! Next time you raise
money, use it to help the wonderful
hummingbirds!
