Mikaylah - Sea Turtles

Habitat Diorama Created by Mikaylah

Sea Turtles
Written by Mikaylah in the 2nd grade
Which animal can grow up to 6 feet 1.8meters long?!  Which I heard alligators are nice, sea turtles are even better!  Turtles live in the Arctic Ocean habitats, have useful adaptations, and eat good types of food.
To start off with, sea turtles live in the Arctic Ocean habitat. For example, turtles live almost near Australia. There is a lot of fish and seaweed. They also have lots of animals like sharks and jelly fish.
To continue, sea turtles adaptations are useful. They have good flippers, can lay a lot of eggs, and they can bite. They are endangered and if they did not have flippers, then they would not be able to swim as well.
Last of all, turtles are fascinating omnivores. They are predators to shelled animals and it is also prey to sharks and other things with sharp teeth. It also eats seaweed, plankton, coral, and jelly fish!
Even though dolphins are nice, my animal is even nicer! It is clear that sea turtles live in salt water habitats, have helpful adaptations, and are fascinating hunters. I hope you help turtles get to the sea, and if you see a person eating a sea turtle, then tell them to STOP! By the way, did I tell you that sea turtles are ENDANGERED??!!!

  1. Great job Mikaylah! I did not know that sea turtles can get that big! I actually got the chance to see a sea turtle lay her eggs when I was on my honeymoon (long, long time ago). The sea turtle came onto the beach one night and layed many, many eggs! It was amazing, and the Mexican police made sure that no one could harm her, and her eggs! I sure hope that you get the chance to see a sea turtle!
